Ferries to and from Tinos

The Anek Lines fleet of 11 magnificent modern air-conditioned ships all offer a full range of facilities on board. You can choose from a range of inner or outer ship cabins with two, three or four beds and on Anek Lines Italy-Greece routes you can even choose a deluxe cabins featuring a sitting room and TV and Internet access.

If you are travelling with Aegean Speed Lines, onboard services include a range of coffee and snack bars, a souvenir and gift shop, air conditioned lounge areas, televisions, smoking areas, outside seating areas, Wireless internet connection and disabled access throughout.

Onboard with Blue Star Ferries you can expect to find a range of cafes, a gift shop, and an open deck bar.

Golden Star Ferries operates one ship, the Superferry II. The ship is fully equipped with WiFi and satellite television throughout the ship. On board you will find duty free shops, a coffee shop, home cinema and massage chairs. The ship can hold up to 1,630 passengers, 250 cars and is wheelchair friendly.

Sea Jets run 9 high speed ferries in their fleet: Tera Jet, Champion Jet1, Champion Jet2, Sea Speed Jet, Masterjet, Megajet, High Speed Jet. Seajet 2 and Superjet. All the ferries are fast and provide good connections between the different islands and the Greek mainland.


About Tinos

Tinos is famous for the church of Panagia Evangelistria reputed for the miraculous icon of Virgin Mary that it holds. Every year in August, thousands of pilgrims pay a visit to Tinos especially to visit the church.

About 80 or so windmills, a 1000 artistic dove cottages and beautiful little villages and the tradition of marble carvings because of its rich resources of marble and granite makes Tinos a much more interesting place to visit apart from the scores of beautiful beaches on the island.

The village of Volax on the island of Tinos is located amidst some of the most stunning landscapes. It is surrounded by Pyrgos Mountains which are the most beautiful green marble mountains in Greece. All the villages in Tinos are connected with neighbouring villages by stone walkways and only separated by stone walls built around them.


Tinos port facilities

Tinos has two separate ports for the foot passenger traffic and the passengers with vehicles. The ferry ports are only about 800 metres from the town centre where you can find various amenities. Ferries from Tinos go to the nearby islands of Mykonos, Piraeus, Rafina, Andros and Syros.
