About Tilos

Tilos itself is known for its unique friendly atmosphere and abundance of local wildlife including fishes and birds; the island's walks and sanctuaries are perfect activities if you love nature and the outdoors. Like most other towns in the Greek islands, Livadia and the capital Megalo Chorio have fantastic tavernas and caf├ęs that help you absorb the Greek culture by serving local speciality foods and traditional Greek fare.

Tilos port facilities

There are limited services at the port itself on Tilos, however the town is right by the port and nearby facilities easy to use before departing or after arriving include public phones, an ATM and a post office.

Getting to Tilos

There is a small road network on Tilos, as well as a small car and motorcycle hire company on the island, which means it is easy to travel quickly and easily across the island. However, because some sights on the island are unreachable by car, be prepared to walk to some places as well.

There is a very good bus service on the island, which stops at many places on the island including the larger towns, the beaches and certain sightseeing places. The bus service is vastly increased during the busy summer months.
