Messina ferry port is 1500m away from Messina Centrale train station. Messina lies on 2 main Sicilian train lines Messina - Taormina - Catania - Siracusa and Messina - Trapani - Palermo.

If travelling by car, take route SS113 from Palermo or SS114 from Catania. Please exit motorway at "Messina Centro", follow signs to "imbarchi per (boardings to) Salerno".

Messina boasts with its religious and military architecture. You can visit here many churches like beautiful Church of the Annunziata dei Catalani or historic gate Porta Garzia for fort Real Cittadella. Walking around city you will also see few fountains, e.g. Fountain of Orion near cathedral.
